Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend services using Python and FastAPI.
- Build and support REST APIs and PostgreSQL/SQL functionality, including stored procedures and functions.
- Create reusable Python utilities, modules, or frameworks.
- Implement caching and perform debugging and performance optimization.
- Develop Excel processing and integration capabilities using Python.
- Write and maintain unit tests and use Git in software development workflows.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of overall software development experience.
- Strong hands-on Python development experience.
- Strong FastAPI and REST API development experience.
- Advanced SQL and PostgreSQL skills, including stored procedures and functions.
- Experience with Pydantic, importlib, caching, reusable Python utilities, modules, or frameworks, and Excel processing with Python.
- Strong debugging and performance optimization skills.
- Experience with Git and modern software development practices.
- Unit testing experience, preferably with pytest.
- Docker and CI/CD exposure are preferred.
- Candidates must be local to the Washington, DC/DMV area or willing to relocate and work onsite from Day 1.

- Base compensation is $80,000 to $118,000 plus COLA and performance-based bonus.
