Responsibilities
- Design and develop applications with global teams and participate in peer design and code reviews.
- Translate business requirements and high-level designs into detailed technical designs and implementations.
- Integrate applications with legacy systems to provide reliable end-to-end functionality.
- Diagnose application and system performance issues, identify root causes, and recommend remediation.
- Own and improve business-critical applications through cross-functional delivery and technical enhancements.
- Apply secure design, architecture standards, testing, monitoring, documentation, and production support practices.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI coding assistance and SDLC automation tools while validating outputs through review, testing, and secure coding standards.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on enterprise development experience with Java, Java EE/J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, and React.
- Experience with system design, SDLC, testing, operational stability, secure delivery, and production code maintenance.
- Knowledge of RDBMS concepts, PL/SQL, ORM, and basic Linux/UNIX usage.
- Proficiency with IntelliJ IDEA, Maven, Bitbucket, Git, test automation, and Jira.
- Experience with web services including WSDL and WADL, plus awareness of infrastructure automation techniques.
- Strong leadership, communication, collaboration, adaptability, and cross-cultural teamwork skills.
- Preferred experience with Amazon Web Services or Cloud Foundry, cloud containers, CI/CD, Apache Kafka or other messaging systems, and banking or financial services.
