Base Salary
$165k - $206k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable data mining pipelines for extracting rare and critical driving scenarios from large fleet datasets.
- Lead curation and analysis of training datasets to improve Large Driving Model robustness and generalization.
- Design evaluation frameworks for measuring model performance against real-world baselines.
- Provide technical guidance and conduct code reviews for junior and mid-level engineers.
- Collaborate with modeling engineers to define data requirements and support rapid experimentation.
- Identify trends, anomalies, and data distribution shifts affecting model training and validation.
- Contribute to data infrastructure design and tradeoff decisions involving data quality, scale, and compute efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Robotics, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer, Data Analytics Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer, or Motion Planning Engineer.
- Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL with experience building production-grade data products.
- Hands-on experience with distributed data processing frameworks such as Spark or Ray and cloud infrastructure.
- Understanding of data-centric AI, dataset curation strategies, and model evaluation methodologies.
- Experience handling large-scale sensor data or complex robotics telemetry.
- Ability to work autonomously and take projects from an unclear concept to a verified, high-performing product.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for explaining technical tradeoffs and working in a fast-paced environment.
