Responsibilities
- Build and unit-test scalable features across performance-critical C++ components, Node.js backend services, and APIs.
- Develop high-throughput, low-latency C++ modules using data structures, algorithms, memory management, and concurrency.
- Build server-side services, endpoints, schemas, data-flow pipelines, and native bindings connecting JavaScript with C++.
- Plan, develop, monitor, and evolve production infrastructure for stability, security, scalability, and high availability.
- Conduct code reviews, improve performance and reliability, perform pre-deployment QA, and write comprehensive unit tests.
- Support production systems through monitoring, issue resolution, and an engineering on-call rotation.
- Collaborate with multifunctional teams across geographies to deliver end-to-end customer experiences.
Requirements
- B.Tech or M.Tech in Computer Science or a related field from a premier institute, or equivalent extensive software development experience.
- 4+ years of hands-on software development experience building and operating highly available services, preferably in product companies.
- Strong C++ proficiency with expertise in data structures, algorithms, object-oriented development, performance optimization, operating systems, computer architecture, and OS internals.
- Hands-on Node.js backend experience, including asynchronous service architecture, REST and WebSocket API development, schemas, data pipelines, and long-running process lifecycle management.
- Experience with C/C++ and Node.js native addons using N-API or node-gyp.
- Experience with operations, infrastructure-as-code, scalability, high availability, and security is preferred.
- Understanding of LLMs and AI/ML application development.
- Working knowledge and practical use of agentic engineering tools and practices, including Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and agentic frameworks.
- Ability to work independently with strong ownership, creative problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
