Responsibilities
- Determine user requirements with stakeholders and drive dependencies and design documentation for products, applications, services, and platforms.
- Create, implement, optimize, debug, refactor, and reuse code to improve performance, maintainability, effectiveness, and return on investment.
- Partner with stakeholders and project managers to drive workgroup project plans, release plans, and work items.
- Act as a Designated Responsible Individual, guide other engineers, and develop and follow operational playbooks.
- Participate in on-call monitoring, identify degradation or downtime, communicate status, and initiate restoration actions.
- Improve product availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, performance, monitoring consistency, and operations at scale.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s and/or graduate degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent.
- 11+ years of professional development experience.
- Experience with C++, C#, big data, machine learning, natural language processing, and search technologies.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Cloud Services, including Azure, Entra, and O365.
- Security awareness including penetration testing and threat analysis.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud background check.
- Preferred qualifications include software development experience, cloud and AI knowledge, collaboration with geographically dispersed engineering teams, relationship-building with senior technical and business leaders, independent problem-solving, and strong English communication skills.
