Responsibilities
- Develop, validate, and ship full-stack features across Java/Spring Boot services and React TypeScript applications.
- Design, improve, and maintain REST APIs and relational database integrations using Oracle, PostgreSQL, and SQL.
- Participate in technical design reviews and apply architecture, security, regulatory, and compliance standards.
- Create test plans and implement unit and component testing to support quality and continuous integration.
- Containerize and deploy applications with Docker and Kubernetes, and define infrastructure using Terraform and YAML.
- Perform application deployments, resolve issues, and improve reliability through monitoring, automation, and runbooks.
- Identify automation and developer-experience improvements across build, testing, and operations.
- Experiment with AI services and LLM techniques, including vector-based similarity, where appropriate.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, project managers, platform teams, vendors, and customers in a distributed Scrum environment.
- Progress from delivering well-scoped work to developing guidelines and influencing multiple applications and services.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, information systems, or a comparable specialization with 2+ years of relevant experience.
- 4+ years of overall IT experience.
- Practical experience with Java, advanced Java concepts, JavaScript, Spring Boot, React, J2EE, web services, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and SQL.
- More than 3 years of React experience using TypeScript.
- More than 5 years of REST API development experience.
- More than 3 years of relational database experience with strong SQL skills.
- Experience with UI testing frameworks such as Jest and the ability to create, maintain, and implement test plans.
- Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, YAML, continuous integration, and application-server deployments.
- Experience working in distributed Agile or Scrum teams and applying software development, testing, and maintenance practices.
- Ability to apply technical knowledge across multiple systems and business groups, communicate effectively with global teams, prioritize work, meet deadlines, and work independently.
- Python knowledge is an advantage; 3+ years of Python experience with Flask is desirable.
- Experience with Azure OpenAI, LLM concepts such as vectors and similarity search, and AWS SageMaker is desirable.
- Prior information services or information technology experience, familiarity with service-delivery KPIs, and experience in quality and compliance environments are desirable.
