Responsibilities
- Develop full-stack enterprise application components using Java, J2EE, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, and database technologies.
- Design, configure, customize, and implement Curam-based solutions and translate functional requirements into maintainable technical solutions.
- Deploy application code across development and test environments using release and configuration-management processes.
- Write unit tests, support integration and system testing, diagnose defects, and deliver bug fixes.
- Troubleshoot application, integration, data, and environment issues and contribute to root-cause analysis.
- Participate in code reviews, design reviews, sprint ceremonies, technical discussions, and continuous-improvement activities.
- Support application releases, production validation, maintenance, and operational issue resolution.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree, college diploma, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 2–3 years of overall Java development experience.
- Demonstrated experience developing enterprise applications with Java and J2EE.
- Hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, relational data concepts, and database management systems.
- Experience designing and implementing frontend and backend components for enterprise web applications.
- Experience with object-oriented design, service integration, application architecture, secure coding, build and deployment, configuration management, and CI/CD practices.
- Familiarity with Agentic AI concepts and responsible use of AI-enabled tools in software delivery workflows.
- Experience writing unit tests, diagnosing defects, and supporting integration and system testing.
- Experience using Git or a comparable source-control system in collaborative development workflows.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, analytical, technical documentation, communication, teamwork, and stakeholder-collaboration skills.
- Must have Reliability Security Clearance or be eligible to obtain it.
- English is required for regular interaction with stakeholders across Canada, the United States, and other countries.
- IBM Curam experience or willingness to learn Curam is preferred.
- Experience delivering solutions in regulated environments and supporting large-scale public-sector or enterprise digital transformation programs is preferred.
Benefits
- Full-time role located in British Columbia, Ontario, or New Brunswick.
- Annual base salary range of $56,500 to $106,500.
