Responsibilities
- Design, code, test, debug, and maintain full-stack SaaS product features with an emphasis on quality, maintainability, scalability, and reliable delivery.
- Spend at least 75% of working time coding and contributing directly to product team deliverables.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, knowledge sharing, and collaborative problem solving.
- Monitor production applications, investigate client-impacting issues, and help resolve them.
- Contribute to technical roadmap initiatives and responsible adoption of engineering technologies and practices.
- Plan, implement, and maintain end-to-end automated tests.
- Identify gaps in product requirements and collaborate with Product Owners and teammates on solutions.
- Own assigned work from design through production while expanding technical knowledge and responsibilities.
- Participate in a future on-call rotation supporting software owned by the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in computer science or a related field.
- 1–2+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Professional experience developing applications in Python and writing unit tests with PyTest or a similar framework.
- Familiarity with PHP and JavaScript; Vue.js or a similar front-end framework is an asset.
- Working knowledge of relational databases, SQL, Git, CI/CD practices, and containerization technologies such as Docker.
- Exposure to object-relational mapping tools such as SQLAlchemy and cloud computing platforms; AWS experience is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of AI-assisted development practices and interest in current software development tools, practices, performance, and emerging technologies.
- Ability to analyze technical problems, evaluate solutions, and seek guidance when appropriate.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with technical and non-technical colleagues.
- Bilingual French and English language skills are an asset.
