Responsibilities
- Create and update API and microservice designs and supporting documentation.
- Deliver high-quality code supporting customer payment journeys.
- Design, build, and maintain distributed containerized platforms.
- Create CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
- Review and sign off user stories and low-level designs with Business Analysts and Tech Architects.
- Conduct code reviews and uphold engineering standards aligned with architecture principles.
- Partner with IT Project Management and other delivery stakeholders to shape plans, resolve blockers, and communicate progress and risks.
- Create production-support walkthroughs, runbooks, and release checklists to improve operational readiness.
Requirements
- Apply cloud-native technologies including Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka, and Istio Service Mesh.
- Use Bash or Shell, Groovy or Java, Unix or Linux, Jenkins, and GitHub.
- Produce clear technical documentation for APIs and microservices.
- Apply consistent engineering and code review practices.
- Collaborate effectively with Tech Architects, Scrum Leads, Test and QA teams, and IT Project Management.
- Support production readiness through practical runbooks, walkthroughs, and release controls.
