Base Salary
$209k - $262k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Design and implement large-scale, distributed, cloud-native systems with high reliability and performance requirements.
- Provide technical leadership across multiple teams and shape system architecture and long-term technology direction.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, and product leaders to deliver cloud-based solutions and define platform roadmaps.
- Mentor engineers and drive professional development within technical teams.
- Lead architectural design reviews, establish coding standards and design patterns, and influence enterprise-wide technical standards.
- Implement observability and reliability practices and optimize performance bottlenecks in distributed systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 6 years of software engineering experience, excluding internship experience.
- At least 3 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred experience includes 9+ years coding with multiple listed programming languages, 5+ years with open source frameworks and front-end JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks, and 5+ years creating synchronous and asynchronous APIs.
- Preferred experience includes database systems, cloud technologies, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing frameworks, and Git-based version control.
- Preferred experience includes mentoring senior engineers, troubleshooting cloud environments, applying observability and reliability practices, and leading architectural design reviews.
- Experience with modern AI-based coding tools, interactive AI tooling, enterprise technology strategy, and large-scale cross-functional engineering initiatives.
