Responsibilities
- Lead the technical implementation of the Sitecore-to-Contentful migration across content, applications, and integrations.
- Shape migration options, Contentful implementation patterns, technical decisions, content models, transformations, automation, and validation approaches.
- Guide modernization of existing applications, including React frontends and supporting services.
- Coordinate engineering work, resolve complex technical challenges, manage dependencies and delivery risks, and contribute hands-on to critical implementation work.
- Establish AI-first and spec-driven development practices, guide use of AI coding assistants, and apply AI to analysis, content mapping, migration, modernization, and testing.
- Own engineering quality, coding standards, automated testing, CI/CD, release readiness, migration validation, cutover, rollback, and post-migration planning.
- Lead technical planning, mentor and coach developers, and communicate technical risks, trade-offs, and recommendations to clients, architects, and delivery teams.
Requirements
- Significant engineering experience, including technical leadership of complex digital platform deliveries.
- Proven experience with enterprise CMS migrations, replatforming, or major headless CMS implementations.
- Strong practical knowledge of Contentful, Sitecore, and related migration and integration challenges.
- Strong understanding of React, TypeScript, API-driven architectures, and application modernization.
- Experience leading engineering teams, making technical decisions, and assuring delivery quality.
- Practical experience with AI-assisted software development and driving AI-native, spec-driven engineering practices.
- Strong knowledge of automated testing, CI/CD, release processes, technical risk management, stakeholder communication, consultancy, and technical leadership.
- Previous technical leadership of a Sitecore-to-Contentful migration is desirable.
- Experience with Next.js, Sitecore JSS, composable architecture, AI-assisted migrations or legacy modernization, and multilingual, multisite, or enterprise content platforms is desirable.
