Base Salary
$165k - $330k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software systems and product features using general-purpose programming languages, preferably Python.
- Design, implement, and deploy Baseten solutions end-to-end, collaborating with customers' engineering teams.
- Turn vague objectives into clear specifications and well-defined proofs of concept for rapid service delivery.
- Optimize and enhance AI/ML projects, contributing to the improvement of the technical stack.
- Own products and customer projects end-to-end, acting as an engineer, project manager, and product manager.
- Navigate ambiguity and make informed decisions on tradeoffs and tools for problem-solving.
- Demonstrate pride, ownership, and accountability for your work and expect the same from teammates.
Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 1+ years of professional work experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Experience with one or more general-purpose programming languages in a production-level environment, preferably Python.
- Familiarity with AI/ML pipelines and the lifecycle of ML model development and deployment.
- Strong communication skills, especially on complex technical topics.
- Experience in building or optimizing AI/ML projects is highly valued.
