Base Salary
$168k - $325k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and operate critical infrastructure across compute, storage, messaging, and observability for financial systems at scale.
- Drive architectural changes and resolve reliability and scalability issues across engineering teams.
- Partner with product teams during design reviews and establish reusable architectural golden paths.
- Contribute hands-on to Ramp’s transition to cellular architecture and enterprise-grade infrastructure.
- Develop AI infrastructure patterns, developer tooling, and self-service systems for internal engineering teams.
- Participate in on-call rotations and eliminate root causes revealed by incidents.
- Lead company-wide reliability and scalability initiatives from problem identification through implementation.
Requirements
- 3+ years of software engineering management experience shipping high-quality architectures for critical systems.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, including clean, well-tested, production-ready code.
- Hands-on experience with distributed systems at production scale.
- Experience with at least one major cloud provider, preferably AWS.
- Familiarity with observability practices including SLOs, error budgets, alerting, and dashboards.
- Track record of leading technical projects end to end with cross-team coordination.
- Comfort using AI tooling and coding agents in everyday engineering workflows.
- Experience with cellular or multi-tenant architectures, Temporal, developer experience or internal platform tooling, fintech, payments, or regulated industries is a bonus.
