Senior Software Engineer, People Ops and AI Tools
CloudflareResponsibilities
- Build AI-assisted intake, request classification, retrieval-augmented responses, and case-routing systems.
- Develop recruiting automation for Greenhouse job creation and management-chain synchronization.
- Create self-service tools for policy guidance, approvals, and employee lifecycle changes.
- Build durable multi-step workflows for onboarding, offboarding, recurring audits, and other People Operations processes.
- Develop AI copilots that summarize context and suggest next actions for human review.
- Implement data reconciliation systems, exception queues, observable audit pipelines, and internal technical assessment tooling.
- Design and operate secure AI-assisted workflows using Cloudflare’s platform stack.
- Integrate People systems through secure APIs, OAuth, and webhook patterns.
- Collaborate with HR, IT, Legal, and Security to translate operational needs into technical solutions.
- Implement authorization, audit logging, privacy safeguards, and error handling for sensitive employee data.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering experience building internal tools or platform services with TypeScript, Python, or Go.
- Practical experience with LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation, tool calling, and prompt evaluation.
- Expertise in system-to-system integrations, identity, and event-driven workflows.
- Strong judgment regarding privacy, data minimization, and operational risk.
- Preferred experience in internal platform engineering or compliance-heavy environments.
- Preferred proficiency with React, Drizzle, Zod, and Postgres.
