Responsibilities
- Design scalable and performant applications, systems, and infrastructure leveraging MongoDB.
- Advise customers on architecture patterns, optimization strategies, and the business value of MongoDB.
- Partner with sales teams on account planning, opportunity qualification, pipeline generation, technical discovery, demonstrations, proofs of value, presentations, sizing, and documentation.
- Generate demand through technical initiatives, trade shows, and account-based marketing events.
- Build customer relationships, develop champions, and ensure customer success and satisfaction.
- Relay field feedback to the product team, improve solutions and processes, and mentor other Solutions Consulting team members.
- Maintain ongoing training and professional development on MongoDB products and industry trends.
Requirements
- Ideally 8 to 11 years of related customer-facing experience, including 5 to 7 years in pre-sales with enterprise software.
- At least 3 years of professional experience with modern scripting or programming languages such as Python, Node.js, SQL, C/C++, Java, or C#.
- Experience designing scalable, highly available distributed systems in cloud and on-premises environments.
- Ability to review complex application architectures and recommend technology improvements to customers.
- Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills for explaining technical and business concepts to technical and business leaders.
- Ability to strategize with sales teams and coordinate MongoDB and ecosystem resources around account plans.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Preferred experience includes selling databases, deploying applications with major cloud providers, database programming, data models, data engineering, AI/ML projects, legacy modernization, and sales frameworks such as MEDDPICC or Command of the Message.
- MongoDB Certification and Cloud Provider Certification are preferred.
