Base Salary
$145k - $170k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain scalable data ingestion, transformation, integration, and orchestration pipelines.
- Develop reusable data products and shared engineering patterns using modern data architecture.
- Improve platform reliability, performance, monitoring, alerting, maintainability, and operational recovery.
- Support production operations, releases, incident response, and business continuity planning.
- Onboard data sources across raw, staging, and analytics-ready layers and simplify legacy data structures.
- Implement data quality checks, automated testing, observability, anomaly detection, and defect prevention.
- Partner with Data Governance on metadata, lineage, glossary, stewardship, security, privacy, retention, and compliance.
- Translate business and analytics needs into robust technical solutions and influence technical direction cross-functionally.
- Build trusted data assets that support analytics, automation, machine learning, and future AI use cases.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 7 years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, analytics engineering, software engineering, or related technical disciplines.
- Advanced SQL and data modeling expertise, including durable business-aligned data structures.
- Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines, orchestration workflows, and data integration processes.
- Experience with cloud data platforms and modern warehouse, lake, or lakehouse environments.
- Experience with medallion/lakehouse patterns and governed self-service analytics.
- Experience supporting production systems, monitoring, incident response, and operational reliability.
- Working knowledge of data governance, metadata, lineage, and data quality concepts.
- Ability to influence technical direction and collaborate cross-functionally without direct authority.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
- Advanced experience with BigQuery, SQL, Python, and Google Cloud Platform; proficiency with Oracle, data quality and observability, Git, CI/CD, and PowerShell.
- Applicants must be authorized to work full-time in the United States without employer sponsorship.
