Responsibilities
- Own the technical architecture for SAP BTP and AI solution scopes and establish development standards.
- Review BTP and AI orchestration developers’ work and maintain reference architectures, reusable patterns, and technical accelerators.
- Design BTP subaccount and environment topology, runtime choices, persistence, identity, authorization, connectivity, and SAP Business AI solutions.
- Architect SAP and non-SAP integrations covering API management, eventing, monitoring, error handling, and retry behavior.
- Resolve technical escalations during build, testing, cutover, and stabilization while remaining hands-on with code and delivery decisions.
- Estimate effort, complexity, environments, licensing, and consumption and explain SAP BTP commercial-model implications to stakeholders.
- Mentor developers, lead internal enablement, and guide client adoption based on SAP’s released capabilities.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience in SAP or enterprise integration, including at least four years building on SAP BTP.
- Delivery of at least three production SAP BTP solutions with the ability to explain operational lessons learned.
- At least four years of CAP experience in Node.js or Java and at least three years with SAP Integration Suite, including API Management and Event Mesh.
- At least two years of SAP Business AI experience plus hands-on experience with Cloud Foundry, Kyma, HANA Cloud, XSUAA, IAS, IPS, role collections, and principal propagation.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Good written and oral English communication skills for clients across North America.
- Assets include ABAP Cloud, SAP Datasphere, Business Data Cloud, SAP Build Process Automation, Work Zone, CI/CD, CTMS, gCTS, and relevant SAP BTP, CAP, Integration Suite, SAP Business AI, or cloud architecture certification.
