Responsibilities
- Develop maintainable, high-quality code that meets design specifications and standards.
- Integrate AI-assisted development, code review, and test-generation tools into daily engineering workflows.
- Use context engineering and harness engineering to produce reliable output from agentic development tools.
- Review requirements, research solutions, design systems, and develop code for web and AI-based applications.
- Perform unit, automation, peer, and code-review activities.
- Collaborate with teams to meet project requirements and properly document work.
- Lead or co-lead projects and design efforts as needed.
- Provide training, project demonstrations, presentations, mentoring, and technical recommendations.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in software development or software engineering roles.
- Proficiency with modern backend languages and stacks, including Go, Java, Python, TypeScript/Node, or JavaScript/Preact.
- Experience designing and implementing web services and REST APIs.
- Experience with RDBMS DDL and SQL, ORM frameworks, CSS, cloud infrastructure, Git, and authentication and security protocols.
- Hands-on regular use of AI-assisted engineering tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Devin AI, or similar.
- Ability to manage agent instructions, skills, and harnesses for consistent production-quality results.
- Experience delivering projects where AI-assisted tools materially improved delivery speed or quality.
- Strong communication, logical reasoning, self-direction, and problem-solving skills.
- Preferred experience with Kanban, LLM-powered product features such as RAG, agents, and tool use, observability, Terraform, and platform engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science is preferred.
