Responsibilities
- Design and build software solutions for Cisco products and platforms.
- Develop APIs, backend services, user interfaces, and distributed systems.
- Write, debug, maintain, and support software applications and services.
- Ship impactful features and solve real-world software engineering problems.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product managers across Cisco organizations.
Requirements
- Meet one stated education and experience pathway: master's degree with 0 years of work experience, bachelor's degree with 2 years, an educational or workforce development program with 3 years, or a high school diploma or equivalent with 4 years.
- Have qualifying education or work experience in Computer Engineering, Technology, Software Development, or a related field.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Python, Java, or Go.
- Have experience writing, debugging, and maintaining code.
- Have experience building or supporting software applications or services, including APIs, and familiarity with Git, Linux, and software development environments.
- Preferred qualifications include JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, React, Python, Java, RESTful APIs, object-oriented programming, and Git.
- Preferred qualifications include scalable backend distributed systems, microservices, C/C++, Go, Python, Java, AWS, Azure, GCP, Terraform, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD automation.
