Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements and determine integration needs.
- Design, develop, customize, integrate, and support software and web applications.
- Develop software update processes and assist with software release rollouts.
- Train and mentor junior Software Development Engineers.
- Oversee technical documentation, evaluation plans, test results, manuals, recommendations, and reports.
- Provide technical leadership and present architectural, design, and technical decisions to internal audiences.
- Track and evaluate performance metrics and help ensure delivery on time, to specification, and within budget.
- Work with Quality Assurance to determine whether applications meet specifications and technical requirements.
- Research relevant technologies, patents, literature, competitive products, and current engineering practices.
- Work variable schedules, including nights, weekends, and overtime, as necessary.
Requirements
- 7–10 years of relevant work experience.
- Bachelor's degree preferred; Comcast may also consider coursework and experience or extensive related professional experience.
- Expertise in engineering methodologies, concepts, process design, and software development practices.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment, provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and defend architectural and technical choices.
- Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance.
