Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Unity editor tools, pipelines, and automation systems.
- Extend and customize the Unity Editor, including windows, inspectors, menus, and workflows.
- Develop scripts and components that improve iteration speed and reduce repetitive work.
- Build and support asset pipelines for import/export, data validation, and content generation.
- Integrate tools with source control, build systems, and project pipelines.
- Optimize tools for stability, usability, and performance and provide user support across the studio.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and production or technology leads to prioritize tooling features.
- Gather user feedback, participate in iterative development, code reviews, and technical discussions.
Requirements
- Solid experience developing with Unity and C#, including editor scripting, custom inspectors, and asset pipelines.
- Strong understanding of game development workflows involving art, animation, design, and level building.
- Experience creating editor tools or improving development pipelines.
- Ability to write clean, modular, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Strong problem-solving ability and a user-focused mindset.
- Preferred experience with Jenkins, TeamCity, or Unity Cloud Build for build automation.
- Preferred familiarity with Git or Perforce and scripting with Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Preferred knowledge of profiling tools, debugging workflows, and large-scale Unity production environments.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to understand non-technical users' needs.
- Passion for games and game development tools.
