Base Salary
$136k - $185k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and enhance Python backend systems that integrate with machine learning and AI-driven features.
- Design and implement business logic with Django and integrate services with MySQL and other distributed data technologies.
- Architect scalable web services and infrastructure using Nginx, Kafka, MySQL, Cassandra, Redis, and related platforms.
- Write reusable, efficient, and maintainable code for high-performance web services and real-time AI analytics.
- Collaborate with AI teams to streamline data pipelines, optimize model deployment, and support AI-based product features.
- Own solutions from conception through deployment and communicate technical strategies to cross-functional stakeholders.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience developing and architecting large-scale web services.
- Bachelor's, master's, or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong expertise in databases, distributed systems, backend performance optimization, and backend requirements for machine learning infrastructure.
- Expert proficiency in Python or another programming language such as Go, Java, or C++.
- Extensive experience with Django and technologies including MySQL, Redis, Elasticsearch, Kafka, and Cassandra.
- Understanding of database internals, transactions, indexing, and schema design for AI data workloads.
- Hands-on experience deploying and managing services on AWS, particularly services interfacing with machine learning platforms.
- Substantial production server experience or equivalent backend expertise.
- Familiarity with HTTP, networking principles, API design patterns, operating systems, and Linux is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills, curiosity, ownership, and attention to detail.
