Responsibilities
- Own the development and implementation of complex features and microservices for the Metadata Catalog platform.
- Translate product requirements into modular, scalable, and resilient distributed components with technical leaders and architects.
- Build and optimize low-latency applications that manage large-scale graph relationships and data lineage queries.
- Author unit, integration, and performance tests to improve product reliability.
- Monitor service health, debug distributed production issues, participate in on-call rotations, and lead post-incident reviews.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews and design discussions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field plus six years of related experience, or a master’s degree plus three years of related experience.
- Strong hands-on proficiency in an object-oriented or systems language such as Go, Java, or C++.
- Experience designing, developing, and debugging production-grade services.
- Experience building and operating cloud-native microservices using AWS, Azure, or GCP, with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of algorithms, data structures, concurrency, distributed systems architecture, and API design.
- Experience delivering software with automated testing and continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines in Agile environments.
- Track record of diagnosing performance bottlenecks and ensuring high availability in distributed environments.
- Preferred experience with graph databases and technologies such as Neo4j, AWS Neptune, Apache AGE, Cypher, Gremlin, or GraphQL.
- Preferred experience with metadata catalogs, data governance frameworks, schema registries, knowledge graph platforms, distributed message brokers, streaming platforms, and observability frameworks.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across distributed global engineering teams.
