Responsibilities
- Develop code using Java, Spring, and NoSQL technologies.
- Solve technical problems using current technologies and software development best practices.
- Evaluate alternative solutions and explain why one approach is preferable.
- Ensure technical designs are correctly incorporated into implementations.
- Provide technical expertise across projects as required.
- Manage an entire delivery pod across its modules.
- Connect regularly with client architects and commit to development deliverables.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of Java/J2EE development experience is required.
- At least 5 years of design experience with Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, web services, SOAP, and/or REST is required; Java 8 or 11 experience is expected, with Spring WebFlux and reactive programming strongly preferred.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience building microservices using REST and SOAP/XML is required.
- At least 5 years of experience with database technologies including NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and Cassandra, including DML, DDL, and query optimization.
- At least 5 years of systems integration experience, including event-based messaging and high-volume real-time data streaming with Kafka and RabbitMQ.
- Experience with containers, Docker, Kubernetes, and Microsoft Azure is strongly preferred.
- Experience with in-memory datastores or caching technologies such as Redis or MemCache is strongly preferred.
- Significant software development lifecycle, capacity planning, systems performance analysis, distributed client/server, and resilient active/active architecture experience is preferred.
- A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, or a related technical field is preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
