Responsibilities
- Lead customer technical projects by designing and delivering production-grade systems, reference architectures, custom applications, data ingestion, and ML/AI integrations.
- Own architecture and design decisions for secure, scalable solutions aligned with customer needs and Databricks best practices.
- Guide customers through the design, implementation, evaluation, and adoption of Databricks-based data and AI solutions.
- Embed with customer teams and engage stakeholders ranging from technical individual contributors to executives.
- Coordinate with Databricks engineering, product, developer relations, project management, architecture, and customer support teams.
- Provide product and implementation feedback and help resolve engagement-specific technical and support issues.
- Contribute reusable accelerators, frameworks, and best practices that scale across customer accounts.
Requirements
- 9+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms and analytics, or software engineering.
- Ability to write code in Python, Scala, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern frameworks.
- Working knowledge of at least two cloud ecosystems—AWS, Azure, or GCP—with expertise in at least one.
- Deep experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark and knowledge of Spark runtime internals.
- Working knowledge of CI/CD, MLOps, ML/AI models, and AI APIs.
- Experience designing and deploying performant production data architectures and applications combining data pipelines, ML/AI models, and user-facing interfaces.
- Experience delivering technical projects, including managing scope, timelines, and measurable outcomes.
- Strong documentation and whiteboarding skills.
- Experience working with enterprise clients and managing conflicts across broad stakeholder groups.
- Databricks Certification.
- Curiosity, adaptability, and willingness to explore technologies supporting Databricks-based solution deployment and integration.
- Willingness to travel to customers 20% of the time.
