$125k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Schedule orders, panels, and machines across factories to improve throughput and on-time delivery.
- Model material and work flows through factory robotics equipment and identify bottlenecks and capacity investments.
- Estimate labor, machine-time, and parts costs to support pricing and lead-time decisions.
- Optimize parts and consumables stocking, ordering timing, and shortage risk.
- Build and deploy models that feed production planning and quoting systems.
- Validate model outputs against actual factory performance.
Requirements
- Quantitative background in operations research, applied mathematics, statistics, quantitative finance, economics, or a similar field, with evidence that models changed real decisions.
- Experience with linear programming, integer programming, constraint programming, heuristics, or comparable optimization methods.
- Experience building, calibrating, and assessing simulation and forecasting models for complex systems.
- Strong Python and SQL skills and the ability to write reliable, runnable code.
- Ability to use coding agents and take full ownership of their output.
- Curiosity about physical manufacturing processes and willingness to spend time in factories.
- Manufacturing experience is welcome but not required; experience pricing risk, optimizing portfolios, or forecasting demand is relevant.
Benefits
- Remote anywhere, or work from offices in London or Cambridge, UK.
- Regular visits to CircuitHub factories in the UK and US.

About CircuitHub
CircuitHub builds an on-demand electronics manufacturing service focused on small-batch, high-mix PCB assembly and rapid prototyping. Hardware companies upload EDA files to get full-turnkey quotes and production for runs from 1 to 10,000 units, powered by its factory-scale robotics platform, The Grid. Founded in 2013 and headquartered in South Deerfield, Massachusetts, the privately held company serves markets such as robotics, aerospace, automotive, and 3D printing.
