Responsibilities
- Design, fine-tune, and deploy small and open-source large language models and build prompt-engineering, few-shot prompting, and NLP/NLU workflows.
- Architect reusable Python AI/ML pipelines, APIs, microservices, and distributed computational systems.
- Deploy and scale production AI/ML solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP using serverless services, containers, and infrastructure as code.
- Drive automation, monitoring, testing, packaging, and operational practices for cloud-based systems.
- Mentor engineers, lead architecture reviews, establish code standards, and coordinate high-quality technical delivery across teams.
- Serve as a technical escalation point for incident resolution and production troubleshooting.
Requirements
- 8-12 years of software development experience, including at least 3 years in senior or lead roles delivering ML/AI solutions in a cloud environment.
- Strong practical experience with LLM prompt engineering, few-shot prompting, and fine-tuning using tools such as Hugging Face, LangChain, or LangGraph.
- Mastery of Python for API and microservice development, object-oriented design, optimization, automated testing, and packaging.
- Hands-on experience deploying and scaling AI/ML services on AWS, Azure, or GCP with containers, serverless systems, and infrastructure as code.
- Proven experience mentoring software engineers, shaping system design, and leading cross-team technical initiatives.
- Exceptional ability to explain complex technical subjects and influence technical direction.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- Experience in product engineering organizations is preferred.
- Preferred experience includes Databricks, PySpark, Spark, Airflow, Delta Lake, ML lifecycle tools, MLOps, Streamlit, Dash, Plotly, secure cloud design, IAM, encryption, compliance frameworks, and AI/ML community or open-source contributions.
