Responsibilities
- Define and evolve the architecture of scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems and microservices.
- Design end-to-end software solutions integrating services, platforms, and cloud infrastructure.
- Lead the architecture of distributed systems, cloud-native services, APIs, event-driven systems, and AI-powered applications.
- Design and deliver production-ready generative AI and agentic AI capabilities for products and workflows.
- Translate business requirements into technical designs in partnership with Product Managers and stakeholders.
- Establish software engineering standards, design patterns, coding guidelines, and best practices.
- Evaluate technologies, frameworks, and tools and identify architectural, scalability, and technical risks.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship through architecture, design, and code reviews.
- Own technical delivery and coordinate implementation across multiple workstreams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 7+ years of professional software development experience, including software architecture for complex applications.
- Experience delivering end-to-end software solutions from architecture and design through implementation and production deployment.
- Strong proficiency in Python and object-oriented software design principles.
- Experience designing scalable, distributed, and cloud-based systems using AWS managed services such as Lambda, SQS, API Gateway, and EventBridge.
- Strong understanding of software architecture patterns, APIs, relational and NoSQL databases, messaging systems, and system integration.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB, or MongoDB.
- Understanding of testing strategies, CI/CD, observability, code quality, and maintainability.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools and workflows.
- Strong proficiency with Git and modern software development practices.
- Experience mentoring engineers and providing technical leadership across development teams.
- French-English bilingualism with full professional proficiency in both languages is required.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
