Base Salary
$104k - $173k/yr
Responsibilities
- Partner with development and platform teams to migrate and maintain applications in Google Cloud Platform.
- Design and implement fault-tolerance, capacity-planning, and system self-healing frameworks.
- Automate environment builds, reduce operational toil, and optimize the software development lifecycle.
- Maintain high availability across on-premise and cloud environments and participate in on-call rotations.
- Lead post-incident forensic reviews and collaborate with application teams to embed security, maintainability, and performance requirements.
- Define and defend SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs and use observability data to improve system health.
Requirements
- Deep hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure and expertise with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong Linux/Unix foundations, scripting ability, and mid-level development proficiency in Java or Python.
- Experience managing Oracle, Postgres, or BigQuery data layers.
- Strong understanding of site reliability engineering principles, including SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs.
- Experience with OpenTelemetry, Splunk, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Familiarity with UC4/Automic workload automation and CI/CD pipelines using Bamboo, JIRA, and Git.
- Ability to solve complex problems independently and communicate and document technical approaches across global teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.
