Base Salary
$160k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the full lifecycle management of the multi-cloud Kubernetes environment, including AWS EKS, for resilient large-scale data processing.
- Architect and manage AWS infrastructure including RDS, S3, Route53, ALB/ELB, and networking through Terraform and immutable infrastructure practices.
- Design and optimize CI/CD and GitOps workflows using GitHub Actions, Helm, and ArgoCD.
- Partner with Data Engineering to scale and harden platforms supporting Airflow and Databricks.
- Lead code reviews, define deployment golden paths, and mentor mid-level engineers.
- Implement zero-trust security architecture, permissions management, and secrets governance using HashiCorp Vault or AWS Secrets Manager.
- Build and maintain observability, monitoring, alerting, and service-health visibility using Datadog, Prometheus, or equivalent tools.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in infrastructure, DevOps, or site reliability engineering with technical ownership of complex, large-scale projects.
- Deep AWS expertise covering RDS, S3, Route53, networking, and ACM, plus hands-on experience managing GCP environments.
- Expert knowledge of Kubernetes internals, Helm charting, and ArgoCD.
- Advanced Terraform proficiency and experience building pipelines with GitHub Actions.
- Strong software engineering skills in Python or Java and experience contributing to application codebases or building internal tooling.
- Experience securing edge traffic with Cloudflare and managing artifacts with Cloudsmith.
- Networking knowledge spanning Traefik, Route 53, Cloudflare, web application firewalls, and network log analysis.
- Ability to create repeatable, scalable workflows and translate technical debt and platform needs into actionable proposals for engineering peers and leadership.
