Base Salary
$107k - $161k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable software applications using Java 17+, Spring Boot Microservices, and Hibernate.
- Build and maintain full-stack solutions with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and integrated backend services.
- Lead system analysis and architecture activities and produce architecture diagrams, flowcharts, activity diagrams, and sequence diagrams.
- Manage the software development lifecycle from feasibility assessment and technical planning through construction, testing, implementation, and post-go-live support.
- Embed security best practices into application design and perform post-implementation analysis.
- Implement and maintain automated test coverage using JUnit, Cucumber, and Playwright.
- Provide technical authority and guidance to senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Mentor and coach junior and mid-level engineers and contribute to development standards and processes.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in software application development or systems design.
- Deep backend development expertise with Java 17+, Spring, Spring Boot Microservices, Hibernate, and Oracle PL/SQL.
- Experience producing software design artifacts, including architecture documentation, flowcharts, and UML-style activity and sequence diagrams.
- Experience managing projects using Agile methodologies and JIRA.
- Subject matter expertise in at least one area of software application development and the ability to advise senior stakeholders independently.
- Strong proficiency with Git and collaborative, multi-team development environments.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
- Working knowledge of Angular 16+ is beneficial.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or Devin is beneficial.
- Familiarity with MongoDB or other NoSQL database technologies is beneficial.
