Base Salary
$181k - $217k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, ship, and own public-facing APIs and backend services in Go.
- Utilize AI coding agents in daily workflows.
- Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and security researchers.
- Transform ambiguous problems into well-defined technical plans.
- Author design and architectural documents for team alignment.
- Work with internal teams to understand needs and deliver solutions.
- Ensure stability, performance, and scalability in designs.
- Mentor and grow other engineers through code reviews and technical leadership.
- Participate in an on-call rotation.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience designing and building reliable, large-scale backend systems.
- 5+ years of experience shipping production code in Go.
- 3+ years of experience with public APIs and managing breaking changes.
- Proven ability to drive projects from design to post-launch.
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles.
- Experience designing for end-users and support engineers.
- Ability to prioritize testing and observability effectively.
- Familiarity with AI coding agents as a daily tool.
