Responsibilities
- Own and develop scalable Java and Spring Boot backend applications for enterprise lending technology.
- Design technical solutions, REST APIs, and integrations with other systems.
- Drive code quality through automated testing, code reviews, and engineering standards.
- Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, risk, and resilience requirements.
- Improve CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployments, and production reliability.
- Use AI-assisted engineering tools responsibly and help develop AI-enabled features and intelligent automation.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership through ownership and constructive challenge.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents using observability, monitoring, and logging tools.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of recent, hands-on professional Java backend development experience.
- Strong Spring Boot expertise building and operating enterprise applications.
- Experience with object-oriented design, software architecture, and design patterns for complex systems.
- Experience with unit, integration, and system testing, relational databases, and SQL.
- Confidence working with CI/CD, containerization, and DTAP environments.
- Ability to lead through ownership, clear communication, mentoring, and an egoless growth mindset.
- Bonus experience with AI-powered features or AI-based engineering enablement.
- Bonus familiarity with Azure DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, MS-SQL, Kafka, event-driven architecture, microservices or distributed systems, and React or WebComponents.
