Responsibilities
- Embed observability into architecture, engineering design and production operations.
- Implement and operate logging, metrics, distributed tracing, application performance monitoring, alerting, service health dashboards and end-to-end journey visibility.
- Support critical Payments, Treasury and Digital Banking production platforms.
- Participate in a 24x7 on-call roster, including after-hours incident response, service restoration and escalation support.
- Manage major incidents and problems and perform root cause analysis.
- Improve mean time to detect and mean time to restore for business-critical production services.
Requirements
- Advanced hands-on experience with the Elastic Stack, particularly Elasticsearch and Kibana.
- Strong Amazon CloudWatch and AWS observability experience.
- Strong Splunk Enterprise and/or Splunk Observability experience.
- Experience with OpenTelemetry, distributed tracing, application performance monitoring, telemetry pipelines, dashboards and alert engineering.
- Knowledge of SRE principles, service-level indicators, service-level objectives, error budgets, reliability engineering and performance engineering.
- Experience supporting business-critical production services and improving MTTD and MTTR.
- Ability and willingness to participate in a 24x7 on-call roster for critical payment systems.
