Responsibilities
- Partner with customers to understand data challenges and translate requirements into scalable storage solutions.
- Architect storage for AI/ML training, HPC simulations, analytics, GPU-accelerated workloads, and autonomous systems.
- Design for reliability, resilience, security, performance, data protection, and scale.
- Create BOMs, system architectures, and technical proposals for complex RFPs.
- Conduct live demonstrations, proofs of concept, and performance benchmarking.
- Integrate storage solutions with GPU clusters, Kubernetes, cloud platforms, and AI frameworks.
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor throughout sales cycles and communicate with engineers and executives.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering, mentor team members, contribute technical thought leadership, and inform product direction.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience for entry-level candidates.
- Strong understanding of SAN, NAS, object storage, parallel file systems, and storage/data architectures.
- Knowledge of reliability, resilience, security, and scalability patterns and of S3, POSIX, NFS, and SMB.
- Familiarity with TCP/IP, InfiniBand, RDMA, Lustre, GPFS, and Exascaler.
- Entry-level candidates may qualify through coursework, internships, or projects involving storage or systems.
- Experienced candidates should have 3–8+ years in pre-sales, solutions architecture, or technical consulting and a record of designing storage or infrastructure solutions.
- Hands-on enterprise storage experience and customer-facing communication skills are required; AI/ML infrastructure, HPC, or high-performance workload experience is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, ownership, collaboration, and technical sales-cycle management abilities.
