Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain the React and Beyond UI licensing portal.
- Design and implement intuitive, consistent, responsive, and accessible user interfaces aligned with ZEISS design guidelines.
- Develop and maintain C#/.NET backend components and backend-for-frontend logic that integrate with licensing services and external APIs.
- Consume and expose RESTful APIs, handle JSON data exchange, and manage authentication, errors, loading states, and API integration.
- Collaborate with backend, client, UX, product, and architecture teams on consistent end-to-end licensing workflows.
- Create and maintain automated end-to-end tests with Playwright and additional unit, component, and API tests.
- Improve and automate Azure DevOps build, test, and deployment pipelines for React and .NET applications.
- Participate in incident analysis, bug fixing, troubleshooting, coding standards, documentation, UX discussions, and reusable component development.
Requirements
- A university degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a comparable qualification.
- 2–7 years of professional experience as a frontend or full-stack engineer using React and C#/.NET.
- Several years of hands-on experience building React-based web applications and single-page applications.
- Strong proficiency in C#/.NET for backend services, backend-for-frontend logic, REST API integration, and external service integration.
- Experience designing user interfaces and translating UX concepts and wireframes into responsive, reusable, and accessible UIs.
- Experience with design systems or UI component libraries, ideally Beyond UI or a comparable framework.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, authentication flows, OAuth2/OIDC, token handling, and web application security.
- Experience with frontend build and packaging tools such as npm, Webpack, or Vite.
- Experience with Azure DevOps pipelines, environments, artifact handling, and basic YAML configurations.
- Hands-on experience implementing Playwright end-to-end tests and integrating tests into CI pipelines.
- Experience with Azure web application services such as Azure App Service, Azure Functions, and Azure Entra ID.
- Understanding of modern React practices, UI and interaction design, DevOps and CI/CD concepts, and automated testing approaches.
- Experience working in agile, international, and cross-functional teams using Git-based workflows and pull requests.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and user-centric working skills; English proficiency is required.
- Understanding of software licensing processes and implementation patterns is a plus.
