Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance React applications.
- Deliver production-quality code using React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript.
- Contribute to front-end solution design, component architecture, and development standards.
- Develop reusable components and libraries to improve consistency and engineering productivity.
- Integrate applications with enterprise services.
- Develop unit and component tests using Jest, React Testing Library, or equivalent technologies.
- Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, and engineering improvements.
- Identify and resolve application performance, stability, and maintainability issues.
- Collaborate with back-end engineers, UX/design, QA, DevOps, and product teams on end-to-end solutions.
- Troubleshoot complex development and production issues and contribute to sustainable fixes.
- Support legacy application modernization and adoption of current front-end technologies.
- Mentor junior engineers and share technical knowledge across the team.
- Own assigned components and features from design through production delivery and support.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software development experience with strong front-end and web application development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with React and modern React development practices.
- Strong knowledge of TypeScript and JavaScript ES6+.
- Strong experience with HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web development.
- Understanding of React Hooks, component design, reusable development patterns, client-side architecture, and front-end design patterns.
- Strong experience consuming and integrating REST APIs.
- Experience with Jest, React Testing Library, or similar testing frameworks.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD, and modern build and package-management tooling.
- Understanding of browser compatibility, front-end performance, and secure web-development practices.
- Ability to develop well-tested, maintainable, and performant software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in Agile development environments, including tools such as Jira.
- Financial markets, workflows, and firm-wide initiative experience is preferred.
- Ability to use AI tools to improve productivity and workflows while applying responsible and ethical judgment to data and AI outputs.
