Responsibilities

  • Design and build a distributed cloud and on-premises system for developing, sharing, and deploying robotics capabilities.
  • Create new approaches for developing and deploying industrial automation solutions using modern computing technologies.
  • Build and support a developer community collaborating on robotic capabilities.
  • Ground the platform in end-to-end applications deployed with robotic hardware in industrial settings.
  • Coordinate software development across cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
  • Collaborate with experienced professionals on modern software development practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field.
  • At least five years of professional experience coding in Go, C++, and Python in team-based development environments.
  • Full-stack development experience building server-side and client-side layers with modern web frameworks such as Angular.
  • Cloud development experience with technologies such as Kubernetes, gRPC, Protobuf, GCS, Firebase, Spanner, and BigQuery.
  • Ability to learn complex systems and work outside current areas of expertise.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for explaining technical and non-technical problems and solutions.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with industrial robotic automation, ROS, software architecture, interface design, or security engineering is advantageous.
