Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, resilient, secure cloud infrastructure primarily on GCP, including high-availability and disaster-recovery practices.
- Identify opportunities for infrastructure optimization, consolidation, modernization, reliability improvement, and cost reduction.
- Develop and champion a future-state infrastructure roadmap with architects and development teams.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize modular, reusable Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines covering code commit through production deployment, including automated testing, security scanning, and quality gates.
- Manage Docker-based containerization and orchestration platforms including Kubernetes, GKE, Google Cloud Run, ECS, and EKS.
- Automate provisioning, configuration, deployment, monitoring, and incident response across the infrastructure lifecycle.
- Design monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions and define infrastructure and application stability KPIs.
- Promote DevOps culture, shared responsibility, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing.
- Implement infrastructure security practices covering identity and access management, network security, encryption, vulnerability management, and compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or a similar role focused on cloud infrastructure.
- At least 3 years of experience in compiled-language software development, ideally C++ or C#.
- Extensive hands-on experience with GCP and services including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, VPC, IAM, Cloud Functions, and GKE.
- Proven expertise with Infrastructure as Code tools and robust CI/CD pipeline design and maintenance.
- Strong proficiency in scripting languages.
- Experience with Docker and container orchestration platforms including Kubernetes, GKE, Google Cloud Run, ECS, and EKS.
- Understanding of networking, security best practices, and cloud architecture patterns.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools is a bonus.
- Experience building Node, C++, or .NET projects is a bonus.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, collaborative, and proactive working abilities.

- Base salary range is CAD 110,000–140,000.
