Base Salary
$123k - $202k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop Scala web services to enhance user experience and geospatial workflows.
- Design and prototype technical solutions adhering to industry standards.
- Contribute to team code reviews and write unit tests to ensure code quality.
- Implement functionality in other areas of the product using various programming languages.
- Participate in agile development processes including design reviews and planning.
- Support deployment team with AWS deployment activities for SaaS offerings.
- Stay current with programming languages and development methodologies.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in a similar role.
- Experience developing software components using Java or Scala.
- Strong understanding of REST web service design and development.
- Working knowledge of AWS infrastructure and best practices.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively across technical skillsets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
