Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and deliver scalable services and applications across the full software development lifecycle.
  • Own low-level designs, API contracts, data models, reliability, performance, and integration patterns for services within the domain.
  • Collaborate with product, architecture, and engineering teams to decompose complex business and technical problems into incremental deliverables.
  • Drive code quality, observability, operational readiness, security, design reviews, code reviews, and on-call participation.
  • Integrate and operate AI/ML-enabled solutions and apply AI/ML concepts to real-world products.
  • Contribute reusable patterns, libraries, and platforms across services and product areas.
  • Mentor engineers and lead technical solutions for complex projects within the domain.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Several years of professional software development experience building and operating production services or applications.
  • Experience owning service or component design and implementation, including low-level system design, API design, and data modeling.
  • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language and associated frameworks, with a solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering fundamentals.
  • Experience improving service reliability, performance, and maintainability through testing, monitoring, and operational practices.
  • Preferred experience with distributed systems, multi-service architectures, metrics, experimentation, data analysis, automation, observability, incident response, performance tuning, and AI/ML-enabled features.
  • Preferred experience leading complex technical solutions, mentoring engineers, and improving engineering practices.
