Responsibilities
- Drive significant technology initiatives across multiple architectural layers from design through delivery.
- Architect and develop scalable applications and systems that are secure, maintainable, accessible, and interoperable.
- Provide best practices for application development, platform development, and developer tools.
- Develop and deploy applications and services in cloud environments using modern application and container technologies.
- Integrate AI capabilities into software, launch them in production, and evaluate their effects using appropriate performance and user-satisfaction metrics.
- Partner with global and cross-functional teams, including data scientists, product managers, and software engineers.
- Coach and mentor junior engineers in software engineering practices, AI integration, and technical development.
- Communicate clearly with employees, customers, management, and executives.
Requirements
- BS/MS in Computer Science or a related area, or equivalent experience.
- At least 7 years of experience delivering enterprise-class applications.
- Proficiency in JavaScript application design and testing, and in mid-tier languages such as Java.
- Experience with scalable application coding, algorithms, design patterns, accessibility, internationalization, instrumentation, and web and mobile design constraints.
- Experience with test automation and unit, integration, and functional testing.
- Experience designing and implementing relational databases, SQL and NoSQL databases, and analytics solutions.
- Experience with microservices, container technologies, and container management systems such as Kubernetes or Mesos.
- Experience building and deploying applications and services into cloud environments and familiarity with utility or cloud computing.
- Experience building or integrating functional AI models using techniques such as LLM prompting and AutoML modeling.
- Experience evaluating and monitoring AI technology in production and adjusting implementations for optimal application performance.
- Ability to lead AI integration and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
