Integration Engineer
SS&C TechnologiesResponsibilities
- Define the technical architecture and design of SS&C Algorithmics implementations.
- Scope technical configuration, interfacing, and enhancement work with project managers, senior engineers, and financial engineers.
- Provide technical consultancy to clients on Algorithmics products and implementation requirements.
- Install and configure Algorithmics and third-party database, middleware, and reporting products.
- Design and implement interfaces between client source systems and SS&C Algorithmics products using the Algorithmics data mapping tool.
- Develop and implement customized modules using shell, Perl, or Python.
- Conduct functional, volume, upgrade, integration, and acceptance testing and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Deliver client and internal training when appropriate.
- Produce technical documentation describing implemented systems and customizations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, telecommunications engineering, or a related technical field.
- Fluency in English and Spanish.
- Hands-on Unix/Linux experience, including shell scripting and file system navigation.
- Basic programming experience in at least one of Java, Python, C#, C++, Kotlin, or Rust.
- Experience using AI agents and productivity tools.
- Ability to estimate work, manage deliverables, and work within project plans.
- Ability to work with competing demands in small multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong documentation and communication skills in a client-facing environment.
- Desired: experience with middleware and business intelligence/reporting software.
- Desired: understanding of database fundamentals, SQL, database installation, sizing, and performance, with familiarity with at least one relational database management system.
- Desired: familiarity with DevOps and cloud technologies.
- Desired: understanding of financial markets, risk management, financial analytics, and market data.
