Responsibilities

Define and drive solution architecture for enterprise applications.
Lead technical design activities and support implementation across distributed teams.
Contribute to the modernisation and evolution of complex legacy systems.
Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, secure, and high performing.
Collaborate with developers, architects, QA, DevOps, business stakeholders, and geographically distributed delivery teams.
Support delivery throughout the full software development lifecycle.
Promote engineering best practices and architectural standards across teams.
Influence technical direction and contribute to long-term architecture and technology roadmaps.

7+ years of experience in enterprise software development and solution architecture.
Strong Java background, including Java EE or Jakarta EE.
Experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale applications.
Strong database design and development expertise, particularly with PostgreSQL.
Hands-on experience with Eclipse RCP, SWT, JFace, and WildFly Application Server.
Understanding of software architecture, object-oriented design principles, and design patterns.
Experience leading legacy-system modernisation and supporting long-term technology roadmaps.
Experience working in complex enterprise environments.
Experience with JPA/Hibernate, Docker, Maven, CI/CD pipelines, or Azure DevOps is advantageous.
Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with technical and non-technical stakeholders across distributed teams.

Remote work is supported after an initial 2–3 week onsite onboarding period in Dresden, Germany.
Business travel to Dresden is expected approximately once per quarter for one week after onboarding.
