Base Salary
$80k - $128k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement decision logic engine updates for new species types and ESA Section 7 regulatory logic.
- Develop species list generation and agency routing logic for marine-only, anadromous, and joint-agency consultations.
- Update biological assessment templates and consultation package builder assets with agency-specific content requirements.
- Validate end-to-end decision logic and templates, resolve testing defects, and incorporate production consultation feedback.
- Produce technical documentation and finalized logic and package builder assets for government review and acceptance.
- Enforce code review requirements and maintain all code in the version-controlled repository.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of professional experience, master’s degree and 6 years, associate’s degree and 10 years, or high school diploma/equivalent and 12 years of professional experience.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- Extensive software development experience focused on federal application development.
- Experience with complex business rules engines, decision logic systems, or regulatory workflow applications.
- Proficiency in Java, Python, or equivalent backend development languages, plus REST API integration experience.
- Experience with federal development standards, code review, version control, peer review, and formal technical documentation for government acceptance.
- Familiarity with Section 508, FedRAMP, and FISMA compliance requirements.
- Preferred qualifications include a technical bachelor’s or master’s degree, TOGAF or equivalent certification, Databricks, Delta Lake, AWS lakehouse architecture, natural-resource agency IT, ESA Section 7 compliance, or an active Public Trust clearance.
