Responsibilities
- Own, plan, and optimize AI solutions for enterprise customers’ most complex technical problems.
- Build advanced AI agents using multimodal functionality, tool-calling, and Scale Generative Platform capabilities.
- Gather business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Meet with customer teams onsite and virtually while coordinating with teams responsible for data and machine learning needs.
- Write, push, and debug production code in Scale’s and customers’ codebases across multiple development environments.
- Run data-driven experiments to identify model strengths and inefficiencies and improve product performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, or another quantitative field, or an equivalent strong engineering background.
- Strong engineering background and ability to solve complex, ambiguous technical problems.
- Deep familiarity with data-driven machine learning iteration and how dataset changes affect model results.
- Experience with cloud technology and developing machine learning models in a cloud environment.
- Proficiency in Python and common libraries such as NumPy and pandas for writing, testing, and debugging code.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals are preferred.
- Experience building production applications using generative AI is preferred.
- Familiarity with the strengths and weaknesses of state-of-the-art large language models is preferred.
