Responsibilities
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.
- Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using open-source tools.
- Identify, document, and track software defects.
- Perform regression testing after bugs are resolved.
- Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products.
- Monitor debugging results and investigate causes of non-conforming software.
- Track QA metrics including defect densities and open defect counts.
- Train users to implement solutions and stay current with testing tools and strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or a related field.
- Proven work experience in software quality assurance.
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Understanding of software development QA, debugging, and release processes.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
- At least 1 year of software industry experience is a plus.
- Excellent computer literacy and ability to objectively review and qualify data.
