Base Salary
$138k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain C/C++ applications for machine control and customer-facing functionality.
- Translate field needs, service reports, and requirements into prioritized development tasks and working solutions.
- Collaborate with applications, sales, and engineering teams to refine and deliver solutions.
- Develop, test, and validate prototype applications for customer evaluations and pre-sales efforts.
- Evolve validated prototypes into production-ready applications.
- Debug and troubleshoot software across development, laboratory, and production environments.
- Work within complex existing codebases while making targeted improvements.
- Manage work using Jira and coordinate across distributed teams.
- Learn and apply system architecture and design intent in collaboration with senior engineers.
- Balance development timelines with customer and sales needs and occasionally travel to customer sites or internal facilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong foundation in C/C++ programming and strong problem-solving skills.
- Five or more years of relevant experience is preferred, with flexibility for the right candidate.
- Experience contributing to real-time software or engineering projects.
- Familiarity with version control and issue-tracking systems such as GitHub or Jira.
- Desired qualifications include industrial application development, computational geometry, applied mathematics, computer vision, industrial control systems, real-time operating systems, AI/ML system integration, GUI/HMI development, data collection and analytics, scripting, and build automation.
- Ability to work independently while aligning with team and business priorities.
