Responsibilities
- Provide frontline technical support and expert troubleshooting for escalated Databricks Data Intelligence platform issues.
- Engage directly with customers to diagnose issues, communicate solutions, and maintain a positive customer experience.
- Lead high-priority incident resolution, coordinate across teams, conduct root cause analyses, and develop preventive measures.
- Collaborate with engineering, product management, and DevOps teams to identify recurring issues and improve the platform.
- Create documentation, maintain knowledge bases, and develop training materials for support engineers.
- Monitor platform performance, analyze metrics, and implement stability and efficiency improvements.
- Manage Databricks Data Intelligence platform upgrades and patches with minimal service disruption.
- Drive support-process and platform improvements based on industry developments and customer feedback.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of hands-on experience in technical support or engineering related to Databricks, cloud data platforms, or big data technologies.
- Deep understanding of Databricks architecture and Apache Spark, with experience using AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience designing and managing data pipelines and distributed computing systems.
- Proficiency in Unix/Linux administration, log analysis, monitoring tools, and DevOps practices.
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues using an analytical and methodical approach.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience managing high-impact customer interactions and collaborating with engineering, product, and customer-facing teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Advanced degree or relevant certifications are highly desirable.
- Experience with Hadoop, Kafka, or NoSQL databases is preferred.
- Familiarity with automation tools, CI/CD pipelines, data governance, and compliance requirements is preferred.
