Responsibilities

Own Automation as a Product by defining and driving end-to-end automation solutions.
Act as the technical North Star for the team, ensuring accountability for complex automation solutions.
Proactively partner with Firmware and QE to identify and eliminate bottlenecks in the developer experience.
Design and scale robust software frameworks for a global device fleet.
Integrate AI tools to streamline development and testing workflows.
Develop software that transforms physical hardware into a scalable automation utility.
Conduct demos and tutorials to drive organizational adoption of automation tools.
Create high-fidelity simulation environments for functional testing.
Identify core pain points of internal customers and implement strategic solutions.
Champion Samsara’s cultural principles as the company scales.

Five years of experience in software development, with a focus on testing and software tools.
Understanding of tradeoffs between efficiency, scalability, and performance.
Extensive experience in code reviews across disciplines.
Experience in creating and implementing hardware-in-the-loop simulation.
Technical understanding of communication protocols like TCP, UART, and wireless.
Ability to design and develop hardware infrastructure for test applications.
Experience with test instrumentation and working in a Linux environment.
